Poor alignment of a diesel engine for propulsion or power generation can cause avoidable downtime in the long run. Misalignment causes excessive vibration, leading to faster wear on bearings and seals.
- Aligning propulsion systems such as engines and gearboxes;
- Aligning generator sets;
- Aligning shafts, pumps, and couplings;
What do we expect from you?
- MBO-level education or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Experience with alignment or bench fitting in the maritime and/or industrial sectors
- Strong organizational and technical skills
- You have a proactive attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- Flexible and open to working outside standard hours
