As a diesel mechanic at YES, you’ll work on overhauls, repairs, and maintenance of Cat® marine engines and generator sets. You’ll split your time between our workshop and working aboard vessels, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
What will you be doing?
- Conducting inspections on board vessels.
- Performing preventive maintenance on diesel engines and generator sets.
- Carrying out repairs and overhauls, both in our workshop and on site.
- Analyzing and resolving malfunctions.
- Working with the latest emission reduction systems and sustainable technologies.

What do we expect from you?
- You have MBO-level education and thinking; mechanical engineering or relevant work experience;
- You have experience in troubleshooting and providing customer service.
- You perform well under pressure
- You’re open to occasional short-term travel abroad
- You have organizational and technical insight
- You have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- You’re flexible and comfortable working outside the typical 9-to-5 schedule
